Four Generations of the Finest Quality Meats

For four generations, the Gelsinger family has provided the Crescenta Valley area with the finest quality meats and hand-crafted delicatessen. Founded in 1932 by Peter Gelsinger, Gelsinger Meats began as a small counter in the Montrose Economy Market. Joined by his son, Ron, in 1951 and later his grandsons, Kirk and Kevin, and granddaughter, Kerri, the family business continued to expand to become the neighborhood's favorite full-service butcher and delicatessen serving generations of local families their favorite quality meats and specialty sandwiches as well as their Thanksgiving Turkeys and Christmas Roasts.

Our Heritage

The new deli counter brings back the best of the old Gelsinger's made-to-order deli sandwiches along with new specialty sandwiches and salads. In addition to a variety of Gourmet Olive Oils and Aged Balsamic Vinegars, the market offers an assortment of Gelsinger family favorites, such as marinated Pinwheel Steaks, Teriyaki Chicken Kebobs, Rotisserie Chickens, Quiches, and Garlic Spread. The market also introduces new and exciting cuts of meats, for instance, Waygu and Grass-Fed beef, as well as House-made Artisan Salami and Dry Aged Steaks.
